LCSWCD is pleased to have the Laurens County Water & Sewer Commission sponsor the annual photo contest.
The Laurens Soil and Water Conservation District Photo Contest encourages youth and adults to participate in nature photography, thereby fostering greater understanding and appreciation of all natural resources in Laurens County.
Photo Categories: “Weather”
Judging : Pictures will be judged by age divisions:
Adults: (Age 19 and older as of December 1, 2015-NACD guidelines)
Youth: (Age 18 or under as of December 1, 2015-NACD guidelines)
Prizes for each category and age division (12 in all)
$100.00 First Place (4 winners)
$ 75.00 Second Place (4 winners)
$ 50.00 Third Place (4 winners)
Basic Rules for Photo C ontest:
Please do not infringe on the rights of property owners or harm any animals while taking photos.
Photographer must be a resident of Laurens County.
Photographer must be an amateur, i.e.has not received monetary compensation for any prior photographs.
Photos must be taken in Laurens County between May 1, 2015 and October 30, 2015.
Photos must be horizontal (NOT vertical).
Contestants may enter a total of two photos— one photo per category.
Contestants qualify for one cash award.
A Photo/Media Release must be signed if a person is a subject in a photograph.
Photos must be full resolution when taken and submitted.
E-mail photos to: email@example.com in .jpg format with your name, address, phone number, photo category, photo title, and age division (youth or adult) for each photo entry submitted.
Photos become the property of the Laurens County Soil and Water Conservation District and may be used in future publications with acknowledgement credit line.
